LVFD Busy Night & Mutual Aid Signal 10
Submitted by Brian Nolan on May 25, 2009 - 01:00At approximately 9 PM, the Locust Valley Fire Department was notified for Mutual Aid to Bayville Fire Company for a Signal 9 (Ambulance Call) to Cliff Drive for an unconscious male. While operating in Bayville, a second call was received for a Signal 9 at The Tides Motel for a young child with burns. As DC 5401 & DC 5402 arrived on scene, a third Signal 9 was received for a dizzy female at The Brass Rail Restaurant on Forest Avenue. Read more

Serious Auto Accident on Forest Avenue
Submitted by Jeff Baker on May 19, 2009 - 11:44On Sunday, May 17th at 12:20 PM, the Locust Valley Fire Department was alerted to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Forest Avenue and South 5th Street. First arriving Deputy Chief Brian Nolan, who lives only a short distance from the scene, found a car that had crashed into a telephone pole in the westbound lane on Forest Avenue. The pole, wires and transformers were knocked down and hanging on top of the car and roadway. Read more
Tower Ladder 546 Responds Mutual Aid To Glenwood Job

On the initial dispatch Glenwood Chief 5300 was given the info by FIRECom of multiple calls and advised to fill out the signal 10 procedure. Read more
Auto Accident on Oyster Bay Road
Submitted by FF Z. Baker on May 4, 2009 - 17:07On Monday, May 4th at approximately 7:49am the Locust Valley Fire Department was toned out for a Motor Vehicle Accident at 384 Oyster Bay Road. R-542 was first due under the command of Lt. Savinetti. Upon arrival, R-542's crew found a Buick SUV that had slid off the road and climbed up the embankment. Read more
