Overturn With Person Trapped on Forest Avenue

On Sunday, March 15th, at approximately 11:30am, the LVFD was alerted for a single car MVA with possible entrapment in front of 372 Forest Avenue at the intersection of 12th Street.

Asst. Chief Baker (5401) arrived on scene and confirmed that there was no pin and the victim was out of the car. LVFD members who live in the area were on scene within a minute of the accident and were able to assist the victim out of the car and begin patient care. Rescue 542 responded 1st due and stabilized the car. Ambulance 541 arrived and took over patient care from the members on scene. The patient was transported to NSUH Manhasset with minor injuries. TL546 and E545 also responded and assisted with operations at the scene. All units were up within a 1/2 hour.
