Department Drill - 102 Horseshoe Road
On Sunday April 19th, the Locust Valley Fire Department hosted a drill on a house slated for demolition in Mill Neck. Locust Valley responded with Chiefs 5400, 5401, 5402, & 5403 along with Ambulance 541, Engines 544 & 545, and Tower Ladder 546. Bayville Fire Co. responded with Chief 507 and Engine 503 the FAST. Atlantic Steamer responded with Chiefs 5501 & 5503 along with Engine 557 as the additional engine company.
Due to the size of the house, the Training Committee was able to conduct 3 evolutions which focused on basics such as forcible entry, hose stretching, line placement, rescue of trapped occupants, rescue of a downed frefighter, and roof operations.
Special thanks to Assistant Chief Nolan and the Training Committee for putting together another fantastic training session.
