Auto Accident on Oyster Bay Road

On Monday, May 4th at approximately 7:49am the Locust Valley Fire Department was toned out for a Motor Vehicle Accident at 384 Oyster Bay Road. R-542 was first due under the command of Lt. Savinetti. Upon arrival, R-542's crew found a Buick SUV that had slid off the road and climbed up the embankment.

The SUV had come to a rest after it hit a tree and went through a wood fence. Lt. Savenetti radioed LVFD Headquarters (540) and notified the dispatcher that there was one victim needing an ambulance. DC Scaperotta (5401) arrived next and assisted with the aiding of the young woman. Ambulance 541 responded in last. The victim was collared and put onto a back board and then transported to North Shore Hospital at Glen Cove. All units were up and back in headquarters by 8:30am.
