LVFD Wins Big at the 5th Battalion Parade

This past Saturday, June 20th, was the 5th Battalion Parade and Drill hosted by the Sea Cliff Fire Department. Even with the torrential downpours at times, the parade went on without an issue. Locust Valley Fire Department, led by Chief Jeffrey Baker, marched down Sea Cliff Ave. looking sharp in their class "A" uniforms. The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Band kept everyone in step and played beautifully. The parade went through the Village of Sea Cliff and ended at Tappen Beach. Later on in the night the judges awarded fire departments with the trophies for various situations. Locust Valley came away winning two trophies for 1sr Place -Best Appearance in Line with less than fifty (50) members marching and the other was 2nd Place - Best Appearance in Line Overall.
