LVFD Does Honor Guard at Mets Game
On Wednesday, June 24th, members of the Locust Valley Fire Department stood tall during the singing of the National Anthem at Citi Field as the Honor Guard for the Mets game. Ex-Chiefs Patrick Vissichelli and Billy Eliseo gave stern salutes, Lieutenant Tommy Winslow held the Department Flag, Firefighter Brian Plumb held the American Flag, and Chief Jeffrey Baker and 2nd Assistant Chief Brian Nolan held the Department Banner. The Hook & Ladder Co. bought tickets to the game as the Mets were hosting the St. Louis Cardinals to cheer on the Mets as well as their fellow firefighters in the Honor Guard. The Locust Valley Fire Department covers the area where the home of Mets owner Fred Wilpon lives. The night was fabulous with a Mets win and a great time in the crowd with the members of the Locust Valley Fire Department.
