Rescue Call - Forcible Entry Required

On July 21st at approximately 9:00am, the members of the Locust Valley Fire Department were toned out for a Rescue Call at the residence of 120 Piping Rock Road. The dispatcher also notified all LVFD units that forcible entry was required. Assistant Chief's Scaperotta (5401) and Nolan (5402) responded along with Engine 544. The call came from the homeowner stating that there were two thirteen (13) month old twins locked in a bedroom for more than an hour, and the babysitter couldn't get them out. Chief Nolan was able to force entry into the bedroom and retrieve the young toddlers. All LVFD units were back at headquarters by 9:30am.
