MVA at Duck Pond Rd and Piping Rock Rd

AT 11:13 PM the LVFD was alerted to the scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident at the intersection of Duck Pond Road and Piping Rock Road. Two patients were transported to Glen Cove Hospital by Locust Valley Ambulance 541. Heavy Rescue 542 arrived to secure the two vehicles and clean-up some spilled fuel in the roadway. A telephone pole with electrical lines was hit by the vehicle and subsequently caused the wires and transformer to hang at a dangerously low level. The Long Island Power Authority was notified by FD to respond. All Locust Valley units were back in headquarters in approxiamtely an hour.
