Operation Wounded Warrior Spaghetti Dinner - October 10th

The Locust Valley Fire Department is hosting our 2nd Annual Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, October 10, 2009 (4pm - 8pm) to help support the Operation Wounded Warrior (OWW) program. OWW's mission is to deliver health and comfort items to wounded service personnel in need and to personally welcome them home. The money we raise from this event goes toward purchasing clothing, toiletries, phone cards, gift certificates, ipods, dvds, etc....for our young wounded soldiers who have recently returned from Iraq or Afghanistan and who are starting their rehabilitation. These care packages, which firefighters from local departments, including Locust Valley, bring down to the soldiers at Walter Reed Medical Center, Bethesda Naval Hospital, Fort Bragg, and Camp Lejeune, go a long way to helping these soldiers on their road to recovery.

If you are interested in attending and or just want to help out by sending a donation, please contact Lt. Paul Long at (516) 676-5104. The attached flyer has all the details. Tix are $10 for adults, $5 for children. We also have a raffle, door prizes, and Wounded Warrior T-Shirts for sale.

Thanks in advance for your support. Last year we raised over $10,000 for OWW!!!

Please come out and support this great event and more importantly please pass this along to family and friends.
