541 - Emergency Medical Rescue Co. 1
In January 2006 the Emergency Medical Rescue Co. #1 of the Locust Valley Fire Department placed into service their 6th vehicle in their history, a 2006 Ford E-450 / PL Custom Type III ambulance. The new vehicle is state of the art, with a 6.0 l diesel engine, extended patient compartment and all LED lighting. It is equipped with on board telemetry and a Lifepak 12 EKG unit. 3 paramedics, 5 EMT-CCs and 17 EMTs provide round-the-clock EMS care to the residents of the Locust Valley Fire District.
