Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The Locust Valley Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank each and every resident, property owner, and business for your past support and donations. Please help us continue to provide the best fire and rescue services by supporting our  Annual Fund Drive.

The fire department’s highly trained firefighters and rescue personnel are 100% volunteer, and committed to providing our community with professional emergency service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In keeping with our heartfelt and loyal commitment to our neighborhood, the fire department responds to an average of 500 emergency calls per year

The role of our members now range from simple fire suppression to full disaster response. These are demands that our department is committed to carrying out. Our volunteer fire department consists of over 100 of your friends and neighbors who attend countless hours of classroom education, field training, and certification each year in order to provide emergency services to our community while operating some of the most advanced life-saving equipment available. Members are asked to perform their duties under dangerous circumstances and sometimes in the worst of weather conditions, while maintaining the highest level of proficiency in the protection of life and property.

While the basic cost of fire protection is provided by taxes, the members depend on you during our Annual Fund Drive to help support department and community activities, while promoting fellowship and motivation for our volunteers. Activities include the Annual Open House/Fire Prevention Day, community blood-drives, and the Memorial Day Parade.

We have enclosed a phone sticker with the department’s direct emergency number. By dialing our firehouse directly, you shorten our response time to you considerably. Our members thank you for your generosity and support!
